The Mockingbird Programme

The Mockingbird Programme is an extended family model which provides sleepovers and short breaks, peer support, regular joint planning and training, as well as social activities.

The programme improves the stability of fostering placements and strengthens relationships between carers, children and young people, fostering services and birth families.

There is a series of events over the coming months.

Easter Egg Raffle 2021

This spring will mark the expansion of Mockingbird in Stockport, bringing with it the opportunity for more foster families to become involved in this unique innovation. To celebrate, Stockport Foster Carers Association is hosting an online raffle for the gigantic Easter Egg pictured below which weighs in excess of 7 kilograms! Made with tasty milk chocolate and decorated with vibrant fondant icing, this marvellous creation could be yours for just £2. Monies raised from the raffle will go straight to the SFCA and help fund our annual events, directly benefiting the families we work with.

Entries close on Wednesday 31st March 2021 with the draw taking place on Thursday 1st April.
